Cosmos Wedding

Cosmos is a city in Meeker County, Minnesota, along the South Fork of the Crow River. The population was 582 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.0 km (1.1 mi). 2.9 km (1.1 mi) of it is land and 0.1 km (0.04 mi) of it (1.75%) is water.

As of the census2 of 2000, there were 582 people, 240 households, and 154 families residing in the city. The population density was 200.6/km (519.3/mi). There were 261 housing units at an average density of 90.0/km (232.9/mi). The racial makeup of the city was 98.28% White, 0.69% Asian, 0.17% Pacific Islander, 0.34% from other races, and 0.52% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.34% of the population.

There were 240 households out of which 27.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.5% were married couples living together, 8.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.8% were non-families. 28.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.26 and the average family size was 2.73.
